Coronavirus – The Steps We Are Taking

*Please note, this post will be updated as the situation progresses, please keep checking this page and our social media for updates.*

In response to the increasing number of Coronavirus cases in the UK, we will be taking measures to ensure that we are doing everything possible for the welfare of our customers, staff and business partners.

Salt Bar & Kitchen (The pub at the front of the Beer Factory) will remain open under reduced hours (below) and offering the full menu and a range of SALT beers take out. ⁣

MONDAY – SUNDAY | 16:00 – 21:00

Following advice from the government, we will be taking the following measures to ensure that the entire venue is a safe, clean & comfortable environment for all:

  • All staff are urged to thoroughly wash their hands upon entering the premises, and at regular intervals throughout their shifts, in particular in instances of serving food/drinks and collecting glasses, crockery and cutlery.
  • Sanitising gel and disinfectant wipes will be made readily available to all staff in order for them to regularly clean their hands and work surfaces.
  • Increased cleaning of high-footfall areas in both venues (i.e bars, toilets, entrances) on top of our already robust cleaning policy, will be in place.

We politely request that all visitors take note of government advice around staying at home if you feel you are experiencing suspected symptoms of coronavirus.

If you do visit either venue, please ensure to wash your hands thoroughly and frequently. If you spot anything in the venue which concerns you regarding hygiene, please alert a member of staff.

Due to the unprecedented circumstances we find ourselves in, we have made the difficult decision this afternoon to close Salt Taproom with immediate effect to the end of April and will review our position ongoing.⁣

As we are a production facility, we need to protect our environment and team as much as feasibly possible, whilst it is tough closing to the public our focus is on maintaining brewing and production going forwards.⁣

All events (that can be) will be rescheduled – we will keep you updated with posts on our socials.⁣

Due to the nature of a brewery, hygiene, health and safety are of paramount importance. We have issued advice to our staff based on the information given by the Department of Health and Social Care and will continue to follow this guidance.

Our brewery staff already have a thorough policy when it comes to hygiene best practice in the brewhouse. However, following advice from the government, we will be ensuring that extra cleaning and hygiene measures are taking place on a daily basis.

We are currently putting the finishing touches on our webshop and also takeout deals so keep tuned!⁣

Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding, we hope you stay safe and continue to enjoy our venue as much as possible.

Best Wishes, The SALT Team
