Our name is SALT, after the pioneering industrialist who built the village we first called home. It was from here, we ventured out into the brewing world, equipped with only a single punchy vision – make great craft beer for everyone and do it our way.

Following our recent expansion, we are looking for a leader with a track record in brewing to run our London production site. The ideal candidate will oversee our 70HL production facility, grow the volume, build and develop a team and oversee future growth.

We desire someone who can lead a safe and productive work environment, lead the site operations and maintain high quality standards.

You will work closely with the Salt Head Brewer and Production Director to ensure the consistency and production goals are met.  You will oversee all aspects of production, supervising from start to finish, run the site efficiently, and ensure a safe working environment is maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the Head Brewer to scale up recipes while ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Supervise and schedule beer production from start to final pack complying with beer specifications.  Need to be able to oversee every aspect including wort production, adhering to stringent beer cellaring procedures and packaging requirements.
  • Lead production staff coordinating their daily tasks, provide training and grow capability.
  • Coordinating with suppliers in line with production schedule targets including raw materials suppliers, packaging suppliers and equipment contractors.
  • Ensuring safe working environment and compliance with regulations, embracing a proactive approach to health and safety.
  • Oversee the site’s beer quality and assuring the beer specifications are met and regularly communicated to key stakeholders.
  • Ensure the brewery and site remains clean and complies with food regulations. Also, assuring that site and machinery are maintained correctly and in full.
  • Maintaining up-to-date and detailed records of production and quality.

Experience and Requirements:

  • Strong leadership and communication.
  • Knowledge of the brewing process from start to finish.
  • Desired qualification or the equivalent of IBD Diploma in Brewing, MSc Brewing Science or BS/BA in Business, Management, Engineering or Chemistry.
  • Strong practical, organisational and problem-solving skills demonstrated through team-work and workflow management.
  • Leading a small team to motivate, inspire and develop capability.
  • Keen eye to detail in maintaining quality consistency and quality assurance.
  • Minimum four years working in a brewing production.
  • Experience in analyzing and improving beer production processes with the mindset for continuous improvement.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • Ability to give and take direction.
