SALT are launching their 6th branded Tap with a Craft + Falafel concept in central Leeds. The newly refurbished site (previously Craft Asylum) pairs award-winning craft beer with delicious middle-eastern street food. This latest venture offers a unique twist on their love for discovery and food, SALT Craft + Falafel promises a taste sensation!
This will be the second SALT Tap in Leeds following SALT Craft + Cocktails β known for great craft beer, quality cocktails with speedy service and dangerously tempting deals. This latest venture, SALT Craft + Falafel offers a change of pace, with the picturesque water setting of the Leeds & Liverpool canal providing the perfect backdrop to spend a few hours and have a few pints paired with mouth-watering Middle-Eastern Street food.
If the promise of delicious falafel and SALTs award-winning brews isnβt tempting enough already, the addition of 7 different cocktails βon tapβ will also bring the fastest cocktail serves to Granary Wharf and offer consumers attractive pricing with their 2 for Β£12 all day, every day offer.
Situated in the modern development of Granary Wharf, the area features a vibrant selection of bars, restaurants, a contemporary hotel, residential buildings and open spaces with scenic views. Just a stoneβs throw from the rapidly growing reborn district βTempleβ, SALT Craft + Falafel offers something new for residents, workers and visitors alike.
Having proved the success of pairing street food with craft beer through their 2 Craft + Pizza (London) and Craft + Bao (Sheffield) concepts, this latest SALT Tap explores the tastes of the middle east, partnering with the culinary wizards βFalafel Guysβ. Famed for their delicious Middle-Eastern Street food originating from their bright red food van on Briggate, βFalafel Guysβ have become a staple of Leedsβs Street food culture. Whether it be fresh falafel cooked in front of your eyes, chunky grilled Halloumi or slow oven-cooked chicken β we can confirm when paired with craft beer they are a match made in heaven.
Founder, Jamie Lawson states, βWe wanted to extend our presence in Leeds whilst still offering something different. We were blown away by the reception to SALT Leeds Craft + Cocktails and we wanted to offer a little bit of diversity in a fast-growing area of the city centre. SALT Craft + Falafel is inspired by our love for food and venues that offer something for everyone. Craft beer and street food is such a natural pairing and adds to our pursuit of βbeer perfectionβ.
Falafel Guys co-owner Abdalla Ramzy said, βWe are always actively looking to expand and when the opportunity with SALT came up we had to go for it. We are super excited to be opening another location and joining SALT. The team here is incredible and SALT is a great place. We’ve been planning our next move for some time now. As a company, we believe that SALT is the right place for Falafel Guy’s next home.”
Co-Founder of Falafel Guys, Ahmed Ramzy also added, βSALT and the area is very lively and we’ve been doing our research into locations where there is a gap in the market for tasty fresh falafels. Middle Eastern food is extremely popular and what differs us from other places is that we use top quality freshest ingredients and everything on the menu is halal. We can’t wait to meet and welcome our new and regular customers.β
